Efret launches new road freight transport service from UK to Morocco
Morocco is a politically stable and business-friendly country. Although its economy has traditionally been more aligned to Europe than to Africa, Morocco is increasingly looking to new markets to promote growth. As a direct consequence, this expansion of the Moroccan economy is creating new opportunities for UK firms.
The UK’s exports to Morocco at the end of last year were worth £1.4 billion which is likely to accelerate further as the effect of internal investments are expected to top £50 billion over the next few years, as the country gears up for the joint hosting of the World Cup in 2030 with Portugal and Spain.
To support this growth, from March 2024, Efret are launching a new road freight service direct from the UK to Morocco with scheduled departures every weekday throughout the year.
This is a strategic expansion connecting businesses, cultures, and markets with efficiency and reliability. It will provide forward thinking manufacturing businesses in the UK the opportunity to streamline existing supply chains, expand market penetration into new regions, or ensure more efficient and cost effect deliveries to existing customers.
The new service operates from any UK collection point, except Northern Ireland, and delivers to all regions of Morocco including, Rabat, Tangier, Agadir, Fes, Marrakesh and Casablanca.
The main benefits of the new Efret UK-Morocco direct service are:
- Fast Transit Times: Five/seven days door to door.
- High capacity, state of the art mega trailer equipment.
- Hassle free customs clearance from our in-house team.
- Secure, driver accompanied service.
