Efret celebrates ISO 14001 certification
Efret is delighted to have met the criteria required to be awarded ISO 14001 certification. This is a prestigious and internationally recognised standard that outlines the criteria for effective environmental management systems within a business. It is designed to help organisations improve their sustainability performance by reducing waste and using resources more efficiently.
This complements our existing Ecovadis Silver rating and our long-standing ISO 9001 certification that validates our compliance to quality management systems and high-quality service delivery.
From reducing packaging waste by eliminating plastic in our office to developing rail and sea intermodal freight services as an alternative to minimise the environmental impact of road transport, Efret is consistently working to reduce its carbon footprint. These efforts align with the company’s belief that protecting the environment is a collective responsibility, and every step, no matter how small, can make a difference.
Charles Duval, Efret CAO, comments: “We’re very proud to have secured the ISO 14001 certification. It reflects our commitment to sustainability and aligns with our core values of minimising waste, conserving resources and reducing emissions. This has only been achieved by a collaborative team effort and I’m very grateful to my colleagues, Yvette Jones, Zita Bako, Adina Gramon and Neil Gregory, who worked extremely hard to make this happen.”
Alain Jestin, Efret CEO & Founder adds: “We’re motivated by the fact that, as a business, we have a responsibility to lead by example when it comes to sustainability. Our ISO 14001 certification is a testament to our team’s diligence, but it’s also further inspiration for us to continue to innovate and find new ways to reduce our environmental impact.”
